Over 100 people attended Our Journey to an Integrated Health & Social Care System Sharing Events on Tuesday 7 March 2017 and Monday 15 May 2017 at The Lowry, Salford Quays.
This showcase shared how Salford partners have come together to improve system outcomes for their joint integrated care journey. The events were an interactive learning experience with an emphasis of collaborative working between partners; Salford Clinical Commissioning Group, Salford Royal Foundation Trust, Salford City Council and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust. Participants were invited to take a retrospective look through the journey, to celebrate the work so far and set the direction for the future.
Featuring representation from all Salford Together partners, the events were an interactive learning event with a variety of topics and speakers. Different programmes from across the locality came together to relay insights and learnings, reflections and evaluation on the past and current state of integrated care in Salford. Areas of interest included; culture and organisational development in the Integrated Care Organisation, place based planning for Salford: aligning plans for the locality, the importance of mental health inclusion in the integrated care journey, Salford Older People Programmes and Joint Initiatives and Salford Primary Care Together.
The afternoon session allowed for cross disciplinary learning with workshops expanding on the Integrated Care Organisation journey so far and how to continue to build a sustainable system. Delegates discussed the following topics; Governance and Commissioning, Business Case and Approvals, Legal, Finance, HR (Pension and TUPE) and Organisational Development.
