Di Critchley – Development & Engagement Officer

Di has worked in Social Care for over 30 years. Her main areas of experience are in working with people who have a physical disability, learning disability, people with a sensory loss and the deaf community.Di Critchley

Di has always used person-centred approaches and is trained in Person Centre planning and facilitation as well as total communication techniques and British Sign Language.

In 2008, she became an engagement worker and has used her skills to engage with the diverse population of Salford on a variety of issues around health and social care provision in the city.

She has been providing engagement activity for the Integrated Care Programme since January 2014.

The work so far has included setting up and facilitating an older people’s citizen reference group, which meets monthly and speaking with a variety of service user, patient and carer groups across the city with regard to different aspects of the programme and feeding back what people say to the programme management team.

Di is based with the Communications and Engagement Team of Salford Clinical Commissioning Group at St James’s House.
